General Info
The Community Spay-Neuter Clinic is a veterinary clinic that provides subsidized spay/neuter surgery for pet owners that cannot afford regular veterinary rates. Our mission is to reduce pet overpopulation and homelessness by providing low cost spay/neuter surgery for pet owners who could not otherwise afford to fix their pets. We offer free transportation for cats and small dogs from several towns in Maine. We accept vouchers from many area shelters and organizations, and often have grant programs to offer lower prices than usual to people who qualify for additional assistance. Pets must be at least 8 weeks of age and weigh at least 2 pounds, and should be no older than 7 years old (6-7 year olds will require pre-surgical blood work). Your pet must also be in good health.
