General Info
Effective collaboration begins with open communication, clear goals, and a process optimized for learning and success. Communication and collaboration are important for personal growth and life skills development. Collaborating with self; creating safe space; letting go of muscle tension; achieving deep, restorative calm and self care skills training is available. Mind/Body health can be learned. Increased self-mastery is the objective, and improved quality of life, the focus. Working together since graduate school, the Parks have investigated mind/body health with top clinicians and researchers in the fields of health promotion, illness prevention and treatment. Approaching their work with an educational focus on skills development, they began their consulting practice in 1998 providing research consultation and later added customized clinical adult, family, and child services. Psychotherapy is a supportive learning process that focuses on helping clients understand feelings, thoughts and behaviors. The goal is to develop effective strategies for change and personal transformation. A trusting partnership developed between the client and clinician creates a safe space for learning, growth, and empowerment. Cognitive and behavioral techniques are utilized to enhance learning and promote self-awareness.
