Founded in 1987, National Association of Trailer Manufacturers has been dedicated to improving trailer safety and performance for more than 20 years. Based in Topeka, Kan., the association represents manufacturers producing light and medium duty trailers, which are towed behind vehicles. It operates a voluntary Compliance Program to assess whether members build trailers with appropriate manufacturing processes that meet expected Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS). In addition, National Association of Trailer Manufacturers provides educational tools and offers membership benefits and services.
