Business Development Division is a part of the Kansas Department of Commerce and provides a complete range of solutions for the growth of business and industry in Kansas. Located in Topeka, Kan., it specializes in business expansion and retention, business recruitment/relocation, finance/incentives and minority/women business development. The division provides various financial incentives, such as the agriculture value-added loan program, high performance incentive program (HPIP), community development block grant (CDBG) economic development funds and property tax abatement assistance. The Kansas Department of Commerce also has other divisions, including rural development, trade development, travel and tourism and workforce services.
