I used to care for my mother at home until it got to the point I couldn't care for her on my own. I had to make the most difficult decision in my life and choose a nursing home for her. Since she has been at Tonganoxie Nursing Center, I have been pleased with the care she receives. They do a very good job of keeping me undated on her health and including me in planing her cares. I must say, I feel she is loved and cared for by the staff.

Dont know how this nursing home is rated 4 out 5 Stars. It would be lucky to be rated 1 of 5 stars.It is old & needs updated in everyway It is the most depressing place I have seen. If you want to get an infection go there. Most of the staff is ok, but for the most part they are not experienced enough to take care of anyone.......I really didnt even want to give them 1 star, but didnt have a choice
