The atmosphere is wonderful as far as the renovations. The waitress was very attentive. However the food was a huge disappointment. It was lukewarm at best and absolutely lacking in flavor. In particular the mashed potatoes were a huge disappointment as well as the crab cakes riddled with shells. The onion rings were not only cold but over cooked. The pizza was very chewy. Needless to say we will not be returning which is unfortunate because the atmosphere and service were excellent.

I know who the first reviewer was talking about and they are horrible. COAL duo. I finished my beer real quick and got the heck out of there. Saw them twice, and each time was really really bad. This is a nice classy joint, why are they playing here? Must have a friend or relative on the payroll. They play there a lot, too. I live in the condos next door, so I'm there a lot. I have enjoyed all the music except COAL. I'll give them 5 stars if they get rid of them

I just went there Tuesday evening to check out the new place. When I first walked in, I thought it was definitely nicer then the old lobster shanty. Afterall it is a great location on the water and we need a nice place in toms river to eat. Nice bar area to hang out. However the waitress wasn't very good. We ordered 2 frozen Miami Vice drinks. The waitress brings them over and says one drink is a different color because one was made wrong.. Sorry.... I decided not to say anything, but wouldn't you bring the right drink back??? Anyway, we ordered burgers and wraps.. about 45 minutes later we got our meals. Waitress never returned for entire time we waited for food. The food was just okay.. and I dont know what it was but I got really violent stomach pains when I came home. To say the least...I will not return

Love, love, love the renovations, the place looks great and is very comfy. The food was great, the beer cold and reasonably priced, the staff was friendly and professional. Overall we had a great experience. We will be back. We went there about 6pm on Friday 5/13. and the place was hopping. my only complaint is about the music duo that was playing. They were terrible. and I mean terrible. I am a big fan of music and I was excited to see the stage and the guitars, but when they got up to play, it was not pretty. I'll go back next weekend because I did love the place. Hopefully they'll have better music.
