  A midwife provides care based on the philosophy that pregnancy and childbirth are natural, normal, and healthy life events. A midwife supports pregnancy, labor and delivery with as little intervention as possible and is committed to helping you have the birthing experience you want. Midwives provide mothers with labor support techniques to keep her relaxed and focused throughout your birthing experience.

  Each of our nurse midwives is board certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board. As advanced practice nurses, they offer comprehensive, gentle care to our patients from annual gynecological care, contraception counseling, pre-natal care, labor and delivery, through menopause. Our midwives provide one-on-one nurturing care to support laboring mothers' individual choices for labor and delivery.

  Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Blackburn joined Ocean Gynecological and Obstetrical Associates, part of RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group, in 2022. She earned her medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in NY and completed residencies at Abington Memorial Hospital, PA, as well as Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. Her clinical areas of interest include minimally invasive surgery, international medicine and high-risk obstetrics. Dr. Blackburn’s philosophy of care is to provide women with comprehensive care throughout their lives and pregnancies.
• Hysterectomy
  Dr. Cahill joined Ocean Gynecological and Obstetrical Associates in 1999. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, his clinical interests include high risk obstetrics and hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Cahill is credentialed in minimally invasive alternatives to hysterectomy, including da Vinci® robotic-assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy. After earning his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, N.Y., Dr. Cahill completed a transitional internship at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, N.Y. and an internship in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Staten Island, N.Y. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, N.Y. Dr. Cahill is a Diplomate and fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Diplomate of the National Board of Osteopathic Examiners.

  Dr. Molina has been practicing with Ocean Gynecological and Obstetrical Associates since 1987. He earned a medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico before completing his internship at New York Medical College at Saint Vincent's Medical Center in Staten Island. Dr. Molina completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark, N.J., where he served as chief resident. He previously served as chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, where he served on various committees. He is a Diplomate and fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His clinical interests include minimally invasive gynecological procedures – specifically, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and endometrial ablation, as well as natural herbal alternative medicine.
