Ho-Chunk Housing Department provides shelter to its tribal members by maintaining housing, which meets the accepted standards of safety, sanitation and welfare. Based in Tomah, Wis., the department assists the tribal community with down payment assistance and emergency home repairs. It carries out inspection to insure homes meet with the building and safety standards, in accordance to the Wisconsin State Building Codes. Ho-Chunk Housing Department offers community assistance and services, such as tent lease agreement and rental application, home-repair loan application, religious grounds improvement, heavy equipment application / release and snow-removal release form.
