I bought a coupon for a "Best" oil change as a student at the Southview auction. After an hour and a half, the manager asked to show me all the "problems." He said that I needed to change my pads and resurface my rotors "immediately" (even though I had changed them three months ago), my wiper blades needed to be changed (for "only $30," even though Wal-Mart does this for $6), and my air filter needed to be changed (for "only $50"). What started out as a free oil change ended up as a $350 bill. I declined the extra services. When I was paying, the manager refused to honor my coupon, saying that when the coupon was issued in December, the "Best" oil change was different. Furthermore, the previous "Best" was now the cheapest oil change: the manager wanted me to pay $35 extra. When I told him that I only had $5, he refused to let me leave. It was only when I called my mom that he told me to "get out and never come back." I would not go to this Tuffy for any services.
