My dad takes his car here, but if I had a Mercedes I wouldn't. I've taken the car in for him multiple times, for routine service or minor repairs, and learned not to trust the service boss. Nothing's ever done when he says it will be, and there's all kinds of double-talk, like when the seal at the sunroof opening started to fail. You'd have thought he was reciting specs and robotic components for a new Kevlar-based heart valves, or something. I finally said, after four hours of waiting -- he sure was eager to send me off in a loaner -- "You mean you have to siphon off any water that may still be inside the rim, and replace the gasket?" (Yup. Later, he was put out that I found it excessive for this reportedly quick job to have taken six hours, on a day with a longstanding 8 a.m. repair appointment for this model of eight-year-old car!) And coincidentally, twice he's forgotten to detail the car when it was brought in for its "X,000" miles maintenance, a service Viti offers as complimentary.
