Its divisions include managerial structures, human resource specialists and an advanced information technology department that combine to provide a network of resources utilized by the company s holdings. It operates in two business segments that include homebuilding and mortgage banking. The homebuilding unit sells and constructs homes under the Ryan Homes, NV Homes and Fox Ridge Homes trade names. NVR Mortgage provides a variety of financing programs, while settlement and title services for buyers of NVR homes are provided by NVR Settlement Services. NVR was founded in 1948 to provide affordable housing in the growing economy after World War II, the company has constructed almost 200,000 homes and offers housing styles to suit a range of consumers, from first-time homeowners to move-up buyers. NVR homebuilding operations serve 18 metropolitan areas in 11 states that include Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
