Westlake Middle School serves students in grade six through nine. The school s academic curriculum includes art, business, computer applications, English, math, music, science, and health and physical education. Westlake Middle School also conducts classes in Spanish and Italian. In addition, the school offers speech and language programs. Westlake Middle School provides special education programs for students with developmental disabilities. It operates a library and parent-teacher association that supports several fundraising events. Westlake Middle School publishes a newsletter, The Wildcat Express. The school operates woodworking, ski, yearbook and bakers clubs. Westlake Middle School is accredited by the Middle States Association. The school is governed by the Mount Pleasant Central School District in the state of New York.
