Founded in 2003, Prairie Hills Elementary School provides learning opportunities to students in kindergarten through grade five. Located in Thornton, Colo., the school offers classes in reading, math, science and social studies. It also provides student programs related to art, music and physical education. Prairie Hills Elementary School has a library that offers a range of books and resource materials. The school enrolls more than 450 students annually. In addition, it organizes field trips to science centers and historic locations. Prairie Hills Elementary School is a part of Adams 12 Five Star Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
