Mid-Columbia Child & Family Center, Inc ( MCCFC ) is a private, nonprofit corporation in The Dalles, Oregon, overseen by a Board of Directors who reside in our primary service area of Wasco, Sherman and Hood River counties. We were incorporated in December 1979 as a regional facility to provide education, treatment and assistance for children with emotional problems and their families. Over the years our mission has expanded and we are now a community mental health resource facilitating emotional growth and social well being for children, families, couples and individuals of all ages. Our facility, affectionately known as The Center, consists of a large, remodeled older home, an adjunct clinical facility used as a classroom and group treatment area, and an office and meeting building called The Far Side.The Center is generally open to clients Monday through Friday from 8: 30 am to 4: 30 pm, with arrangements available for after-hours appointments and activities. Consultation and Training Services for parents, teachers, child care facilities and community programs serving children and adolescents ; Teen Parent Nurturing Program for parents who gave birth as teenagers ( services available until they turn 24 years old ) ; and
