- Dental ExaminationMedicaid covers dental services for all children enrolled as part of a comprehensive group of benefits, called the Early and Periodic Screening Diagnostic and Treatment benefit. Oral screening may be part of a physical exam, however, it does not substitute for a dental examination performed by a dentist. A referral to a dentist is required for every child in accordance with the periodicity schedule set by a state.
- Teeth CleaningFinish all dental treatment necessary prior to start of a pregnancy if possible. Otherwise, dental treatments are safest during the second trimester of pregnancy; that being said, emergency dental treatment may be completed at any time.

- General DentistryDr. Stewart has been practicing children’s dentistry in the Wabash Valley and surrounding areas for over 30 years. Dr. Stewart is a 5th generation Butler University graduate. He graduated in 1996 and later attended IU School of Dentistry which is where he found his calling to work with children. “I immediately enjoyed working specifically on children and knew that it was the direction I wanted to go.” Dr. Stewart took many advanced pediatric courses while at dental school which further confirmed his passion for working with kids. He practiced general dentistry in Carmel, Indiana for 5 years before taking over at Wabash Valley Children’s Dentistry.
