Compassion, Care and Excellence Harsha Behavioral Center is a free standing 36-bed hospital established in August 2008, and is a provider of psychiatry focusing on children (3-12) and adolescent (13-17) patients in need of 24-hour inpatient psychiatric care ranging from 7-15 days. The center provides acute inpatient services to individuals needing intensive behavioral healthcare treatment. The goal of the services provided is to evaluate and stabilize the patient such that effective treatment can continue on an outpatient basis in a less restrictive environment. Harsha Behavioral Center is independently owned and operated and is committed to providing the patients and families with compassion, care and excellence. Programs Provided during Acute Stay Daily Treatment Plan/ReviewGroup, Individual and Family TherapyExpressive Therapy Discharge planning includes setting up the patients with both therapy and medication management. Psychoeducational groups which include: ?Day to Day Skills?Life Skills?Anger Management ?Coping Skills?Relationships?Cognitive Skills ?Medications/Diagnosis Education Meet Our Psychiatrists Dr. Paras Harshawat MD is Harsha Behavioral Center?s Medical Director and Owner and has been practicing psychiatry since 1988. He has extensive experience working with children and adolescents with ADHD, Autism, Bipolar, Depression and other various behavioral issues. Dr. Paul Phillips is the newest member at Harsha Behavioral Center; he has over 29 years of experience in treating mental illnesses in children, adolescent and adults. He is a triple boarded psychiatrist (general/child and adolescent and forensic). I just want to say, amazing. Harsha is just amazing. I cannot find words to express how thankful I am for what they did for my son and my family. There are some amazing people that work there and they actually care about your child. If I had not of found Harsha when I did, I cannot imagine what the outcome would of been. Dr. Harsha is a doctor that cares about his patients, and today that is a hard thing to find in a doctor. He actually sees each and every child every day. Wow......a doctor that actually takes time with his patients and doesn't just cram medication down you and take your money and couldn't even tell you your name without your chart directly in front of him. Thank you to all that took care of my son. God Bless you all. I would recommend this facility to anyone that wants to save their child. Thank you all! My son also said Dr. Phillips was great also.
