  Upon completion of dental school, some graduates pursue a specialty, which requires additional schooling during a two- to three-year residency program. There are nine specialties sanctioned by the American Dental Association. Some you are likely familiar with: pediatric dentistry (dentistry for children), periodontics (dentistry focusing on the gums), and oral surgery.

  Dr. Leever has published and lectured in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. He has also received both U.S. and international patents for a dental device and technique that improves the accuracy of dental restoration construction, orthodontic tooth movement, and jaw surgery corrections.

  Although Dr. David Leever was born in Michigan, he grew up in Tampa, and attended Woodrow Wilson Jr. High School and H.B. Plant High School. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of South Florida, his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Emory University School of Dentistry in Atlanta, and completed his residency in orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
• Invisalign Orthodontics
  While the aligner is durable and strong, you should remove it before you eat or drink beverages, as the chewing action inside your mouth can break, crack, or distort the aligner. Even minute damage to the Invisalign tray will prevent it from aligning your teeth properly. Furthermore, eating with Invisalign in your mouth can be quite messy.
