We purchased a 3year extended warranty for a $150 to cover our $1000 log splitter. We used it once last year (2012 was a mild winter) and once in 2013 to split wood. On the 3rd time we went to use it would not turn on. We contacted the warranty company who contacted Mulch Man. Mulch Man did not return ours or TS phone calls & emails for 3 weeks. We were told it was a carbonator & it would $300 to repair. TS refused to replace the carbonator stating it was not covered. We asked where in the warranty book did it state that carbonator was not covered (since we could not find it) and according to TS it is not stated. The instructions provided by the Log Splitter manufacturer (Honda) says to drain the gas after each use, which we did. Tractor Supply tells us now we are to take apart the carbonator after each use. It does not state that in the manual. Tractor Supply does not stand behind the product they sell or their warranty.
