The nicest staff and best book store around anywhere! So much great stuff to see and choose from. Highly recommended.

This is my favorite store in Phoenix! Not only is there a wide selection of new and used books, they always have a lineup of fascinating speakers, whose lectures are often free. When I need a gift I know I will always find something special here. If a book I want is not in stock they're more than happy to order it and have it for me within a week. I love supporting local businesses and doing so here is always a treat. Bonus: Wildflower Bread Company next door to enjoy a meal before or after browsing.

Staff at Changing Hands is helpful and, most important, they know that which they sell! Their recommendations are always on target. I have ordered obscure editions and have always been pleased with the results. The bookstore offers workshops and reading sessions for people of all ages. In addition, they bring guest authors to the area. Changing Hands is the kind of bookstore every community should have.
