tried to book catering through them for a birthday party multiple phone calls made to we would be called never happened. had to get an out of town bbq place to cater.

I had the Brisket with two sides: Mac & Cheese and Fried Cabbage. The Brisket was oh so fork tender with a balanced sweet and mineral taste. The meat is cooked perfect. The mac & cheese was outstanding in flavor but a tad on dry side. The decor rocks and the service was friendly and fast. I have eaten at many BBQ places in my home town of Portland, Oregon but this place rates in the top 5. If I lived in Tehachapi I would be there twice a week religiously. Over all rating is 4 stars.

Coming from a BBQ fanatic, this is probably best BBQ in CA, period. Mu son and family just moved up to Tehachapi, I helped with a bit of the move, and the kid felt he needed to take me to finner. This is where we went, I did a pulled pork sandwich with beans, and it was all awesome! Though 100 miles away from where I live, I'd go back just for dinner! I've got three other BBQ places pretty good and local to me, but a far less quality than Red House BBQ!

Terrific food, welcoming and friendly staff, great prices; what more could you want! Mano and his wife are outgoing and fun. Warning--come hungry and be prepared to loosen your belt. This is a great place to eat and relax up here on the mountain. Bev

Red House BBQ has the best BBQ in Cali and it is fairly priced. Thier BBQ has a real smoked taste. They have large selection of sides that taste fresh. Staff is very friendly and courteous.

The food is the best BBQ that I have ever eaten in Ca. Better then many in the South for that matter. This is the real deal. The sides are great too, and as for the prices, they are better then most of the chain bbq joints out there and the quality is much better. The staff is very good and the owner seems to love what he does. And what he does is just plain magic! This is a must stop place when you are even remotely close. Do not waste your time at the other spots in this town. I drive a truck for a living and I eat all over the US. This place is so good that I often tell the truckers in the South that when in Ca. make it a point to stop by the Red House and get some real BBQ like the kind they grew up with. Keep up the great work.

good food, good people, good times. Im not a big fan of the prices but they are better than any other BBQ place anywhere, plus the meat is expensive, along with the man hours involved in cooking, man its good stuff. keep it up! and love the dude with the dreds!!
