I was attorney-referred to Diagnostic Assessment Center for an alcohol assessment and therapy.Sherry Barron IS Diagnostic Assessment Center (she calls herself Director of Services) and she is your only choice at her facility.The first couple of sessions her attitude was ok, and soon she was very disrespectful and, for lack of a better term, a bully. She told me her range of therapy included marital, grief, alcohol, but all I received was a bunch of cheesy handouts copied from other materials.Sherry Barron was VERY angry when I told her I would be going elsewhere,I understand, she lost $460 cash per month from me and she does not accept cancelled appointments (she also DOES NOT accept insurance). If I had had my wits about me, my son committed suicide in April; I would have never tolerated such abuse. And dont let her credentials fool you. She calls herself a therapist, but she is not a psychologist, social worker, or any other professional (she's licensed in giving alcohol assmts.
