Tarpon Springs Middle School is operated by Pinellas County Schools and is located in Tarpon Springs, Fla. Established in 1980, the middle school serves more than 1,300 students in grades six through eight and offers a variety of academic and extracurricular activities. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as language arts, math, science, social studies, physical and health education, foreign languages, computers, art, and career and technology education. The middle school offers various clubs and organizations, including chess, debate, drama, ecology, French and Spanish clubs, jazz band, the National Junior Honor Society, newspaper and choral performance group. Additionally, it provides athletic activities, such as volleyball, basketball, track and cheerleading. The middle school has more than 350 computers, technology and computer laboratories, a library, cafeteria and playing fields.
