As a teacher at Music Box I can assure this is not the norm. I don't know who you spoke to but it indeed was not professional.

I would like to kindly respond to Sheryl G's review about Music Box Studios. I am actually one of the voice teachers there. It saddens me to hear that your experience was not a positive one on the day that you visited; however, I doubt very seriously that the issue at question was your daughter's race as you implied in your review. All of the teachers at Music Box Studios have a very diverse roster of students and I myself am African-American. It is more likely that you visited at a time when all the teachers were in session and could not consult with you without taking up another student's lesson time.

As far as your phone call not being returned, it is possible that your number may have been misplaced and therefore, the teacher was unable to call you back. We don't like for these things to occur, but realistically it can happen.

It is my hope that you will give Music Box another chance and consider calling us to set up an appointment to properly evaluate your daughter for voice lessons. We would be more than happy to assist.

I have taken my daughter there to enroll in their music class for vocal. The man I spoken to was really not interested in signing my daughter up, I don't know if it was due to her race or what, but he never return my call. He was very unprofessional in greeting us. Maybe others will have a better outcome.
