Tangier Combined School, also known as TCS, enrolls more than 90 students in kindergarten through grade 12. The school has a staff of over 10 teachers that offers educational classes in music, art, physical education, science, foreign languages, reading, writing, social studies and math. Its staff also includes a librarian, special education instructor and sports coach. Tangier Combined School operates a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising activities and special programs. It provides special education services for students with disabilities. The school encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities, including junior-senior cruises and field trips. It organizes various sports activities, such as basketball and cheerleading. The school additionally provides food, transportation, guidance counseling, custodial and medical care services. Located in Tangier, Va., Tangier Combined School is a part of the Accomack County School Division, which governs several elementary, middle, vocational and high schools.
