With the loss of skin elasticity, the breasts often lose their shape and firmness. Breast lift is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts. It can also reduce the size of the areola. If breast volume is small, perhaps after pregnancy, a breast implant can be inserted in conjunction with mastopexy to increase both firmness and size of the breast.
