Tampa Ship is a full-service conversion, overhaul and repair organization, with facilities in Tampa, Fla. Its location is directly accessible from the Gulf of Mexico, and is one of the largest shipyards between Pascagoula, Miss., and the Hampton Roads region in Virginia. The shipyard covers more than 60 acres, featuring three graving docks with draft capabilities for ships between 746- to 907-feet in length. It also offers docking berths and graving dry docks for repair, conversion and new building construction services. Tampa Ship fronts the Sparkman Channel, which is maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The facility is located near the Tampa International Airport and is served by the CSX Railway System.
