Daniel M. Hernandez is a skilled, experienced criminal trial lawyer who, in more than 30 years of practice, has tried over 300 jury trials in both State and Federal court. Prior to opening his practice specializing in criminal defense, Mr. Hernandez was a State prosecutor for the 13th Judicial Circuit in Florida for 6 years. He has handled every type of criminal case including homicide, robbery, sexual battery, narcotics trafficking and white collar crimes. Mr. Hernandez is one only a few private attorneys qualified to be appointed by the courts to handle capital murder cases. Additionally, he received a Top Secret FBI clearance in order to handle sensitive espionage cases in the Middle District of Florida. A graduate of the University of South Florida (undergraduate) and the University of Florida School of Law, Mr. Hernandez is a member of several associations dedicated to promote the practice of criminal defense law such as the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Florida Associations of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Goldburg Inns of Court. He is highly respected in the legal community for the quality, professional representation he provides. It should also be noted that Mr. Hernandez and members of his staff speak Spanish.

I know Mr. Hernandez to be a very competent lawyer who has tried many jury trials in his career. He is a skilled criminal defense attorney who has a world of experience with drug, murder, and fraud cases.

Gregory Capehart was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to death many years ago in Pasco County. Mr. Hernandez handled Mr. Capehart's post-conviction motions and ultimately won him a new sentencing. The new jury recommended life and the judge agreed. Mr. Hernandez did a fantastic job representing Mr. Capehart.

This attorney was hired twice for two seperate cases. We were not satisfied in the way these cases where handled. Just a waste of money and would not recommend,due to the lack of effort to fight back.
