Experience in Business Consulting Engineering Associates, Inc ( CEA ) is a company founded on a spirit of excellence and a commitment to quality. Based in Tampa, Florida in the Citrus Park business district, CEA serves the state of Florida and other parts of the country providing Mechanical Consulting Services. CEA has worked on a multitude of facilities, including commercial, industrial, institutional, health care, governmental and educational ventures. CEA's principal John W. Wells, III, PE and staff have over 30 years of combined engineering experience. Under Mr. Wells' leadership, CEA employs a demanding philosophy of undertaking each individual project with a standard of excellence maintained throughout the entire staff. It is this sense of achievement and enthusiasm for excellence that sets CEA apart from the rest. CEA is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, and three members of the staff are LEED Accredited Professionals. Most recently, in February of 2009, Mr. Wells was bestowed the Distinguished Service Award by ASHRAE, a prestigious award given to ASHRAE members who have served the Society in multiple capacities, and held only by 8 previous members of the Florida West Coast Chapter of Ashrae. Mr. Wells was honored to be named the 2007 Engineer of the Year by the Florida West Coast Chapter of ASHRAE in February of 2008. Also in 2008, Mr. Mike Costello, one of CEA's Engineering Interns, was excited to be nominated for the ASHRAE Florida West Coast Chapters's 2009 New Faces of Engineering. CEA is a certified Small Business Enterprise ( SBE ) with the following organizations: Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners, Hillsborough County Public Schools, City of Tampa Florida, Tampa Port Authority, The City of St. Petersburg, and the Federal Government's Central Contractor Registration.
