General Info

In the year 1927, a prominent member of the Seventh-day Adventist church (Taylor Bunch) wrote an article about two living classes of saints mentioned in the book of Revelation--the "144,000" (Rev. 7:4), and the "great multitude" (Rev. 7:9). It was printed in a very important religious magazine of the church--SIGNS OF THE TIMES, which had many articles written by Sis. E. G. White. He wrote that the "144,000" are the first class of saints (whose type is Elijah--P. K. 227); and that they will gather in the second class, the "great multitude" (whose type is Enoch--P. P. 89). This means that both classes are saints who will be alive at Christ's second advent, and who will be translated to heaven without tasting of death (as was Enoch and Elijah). And since this doctrine of the Seventh-day Adventist church was true in 1927; then it it still true today. That is why two years later in 1929, that a Sabbath-school teacher in the Seventh-day Adventist church (Bro. V.T. Houteff) began to teach this same true doctrine; which he later published in his literature entitled, The Shepherd's Rod. It is obvious, therefore, that Bro. Houteff did not originate this true doctrine about the 144,000 gathering the great multitude; he did, however, greatly expound upon this subject in his literature in 1929 and thereafter. Each Seventh-day Adventist, therefore, should read this article of true doctrine which Taylor Bunch wrote in 1927.--Bro. Don Adair
