For the 3rd or 4th year, my wife and I chose Rancho Loma to celebrate our wedding anniversary (#34 this year). Each time, we had one of the very best meals ever and we have experienced several exceptional restuarants in this country and Europe. I'm not a fan at all of radishes, but Laurie made pickled radishes, to garnish a cold smoked salmon appetizer and it was terrific. I'm not a big fan of pasta, but I ate every bite of her hand made pappardelle noodles in her lamb ragout. The Akaushi steak was perfect and her frozen chocolate dessert was a dark chocolate lover's dream. An added bonus was a tasting of estate bottled wines from Sonoma Valley, presented by the vineyard owners. This was a true dining experience we look forward to repeating year after year. (Tip: if traveling from Abilene or other town that would make sense to head to Coleman, do that and follow the route to Rancho Loma. Most internet directions take you down a bad, dirt road and that's not good.)
