National Food Safety- is a food safety training and certificate program administered by the Servsafe which is brand name for National Restaurant Association. The program is accredited by ANSI and the Conference for Food Protection. Food Manager certification is required by most restaurants as a basic credential for their management staff. In all the States, each restaurant is required by law to have a ServSafe or NRFSP or NEHA certified person on staff. The certified person is required to take a course and pass a written test in order to receive certification. The test covers food safety regulations.
