- Osteoporosis
- ArthritisRheumatologists treat arthritis, certain autoimmune diseases, musculoskeletal pain disorders and osteoporosis. There are more than 100 types of these diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, lupus, back pain, fibromyalgia and tendonitis. Some of these are very serious diseases that can be difficult to diagnose and treat.
- Fibromyalgia
- RheumatologyMany types of rheumatic diseases are not easily identified in the early stages. Rheumatologists are specially trained to do the detective work necessary to discover the cause of swelling and pain. It’s important to determine a correct diagnosis early so that appropriate treatment can begin. For more information on rheumatology associated diseases, illnesses and treatment options, please contact the office of our board certified specialist to request an appointment.

- Family PracticeIntegrative Family Medicine combines the practice of conventional medicine with alternative methods that focus on treating a patient’s mind, body and spirit. This type of medicine puts a heavy emphasis on prevention, as it is much easier to work towards preventing health issues than it is to cure them after they have occurred.
- Emergency CareAt the TPCA Coumadin Clinic, clinical staff members work with patients to manage their entire anticoagulation regimen. In a brief 10-15 minute visit, a small blood sample is taken to determine current therapeutic status. Adjustments in dosage may be made based on changes in a patient’s daily diet, routine medications, or presence of illness. All patients that come to the TPCA Coumadin Clinic benefit from prompt service, and are provided with their results during their visit; all without unnecessary visits to the emergency room.
- Infectious DiseasesAn infectious disease (ID) specialist is a doctor of internal medicine who is qualified through extensive training as an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.
- ElectrocardiogramPlease refrain from caffeine (soda, coffee and chocolate) tobacco products and exercise on the day of the scheduled exam. Make sure you do not use lotions or powders on the chest area, so EKG electrodes will stick properly.
- ImmunizationsTrip Rx is TPCA’s one of a kind travel medicine clinic. Our staff is comprised of knowledgeable professionals who take a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to travel health. Based on a thorough evaluation of your individual health history, we provide vaccinations, medications, and in-depth counseling to ensure healthy and safe travels abroad.
- GynecologyThe American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology recommends that all eligible persons, including pregnant and lactating individuals, receive a COVID-19 vaccine or vaccine series. There is no evidence of adverse maternal or fetal effects from vaccinating pregnant individuals with COVID-19 vaccine, and a growing body of data demonstrate the safety of such use. Pregnant women are at increased risk for severe COVID-19 symptoms, which makes vaccination especially important since COVID-19 can have serious health implications for both mother and fetus.
- ObstetricsAt TPCA, we have a select group of physicians that focus on promoting the well-being, safety, and quality of life for women. Our physicians that concentrate in this area, have the capability to provide gynecological services for female patients along with a wide variety of other related services. From the time a patient experiences puberty through the process of menopause, our TPCA physicians are here to see you through every stage of life, both physically and psychologically.

- UltrasoundWhen scheduling, ordering doctors should advise if the patient has any physical disabilities. The Ultrasound department personnel may also make contact to ensure that the most appropriate procedure has been ordered.
- MRIThis is a semi-sterile procedure done under ultrasound guidance. A board certified radiologist will perform the procedure, with the assistance of a sonographer. The radiologist will administer a local anesthetic prior to the procedure for your comfort level. Once the anesthetic has taken effect, a small incision is made to allow for core needle access to the area of interest. Several specimens of the area will be sent to a pathologist for analysis under a microscope. The pathology results are usually available within 24-48 business hours following the procedure. Before the bandage is applied, the radiologist will deploy a small titanium clip to mark the biopsy site. You will not be able to feel the clip and it will not cause any issues with further imaging, like an MRI for example. The clip is an important part of the biopsy as it marks the area for anyone reading your future mammograms and also proves that area was evaluated. There will be some post procedure mammography images of the clip to document the location. After the clip is successfully placed, gentle pressure is placed on the breast for about 10 minutes to stop any bleeding on the inside from the biopsy. No stitches are needed and you can drive home or back to work immediately after the procedure.

- Nuclear MedicineOur Nuclear Medicine department performs a variety of imaging studies to assist your doctor in diagnosis and treatment. Cardiac Stress Testing, Bone, Lung, Renal and Gallbladder scans are just a few of the exams we perform at the TPCA Diagnostic Imaging Center. Our professional and knowledgeable staff creates a comfortable and caring environment for patients that participate in these scans.
- MammographyMammography is the best test for breast cancer screening. It’s a unique type of imaging that uses a low dose x-ray system to differentiate between benign and malignant disease. In 2011, the FDA approved advanced technology to produce 3D images of the breast. This technology takes images at different angles of each breast to provide a clearer view by looking at layers of the breast at one time. The images move like a movie and adds valuable information to a standard mammography exam. When both a standard and 3D study are performed in conjunction, the exam takes a few seconds longer and has a higher radiation dose. The radiation dose still falls well below the FDA requirements for acceptable dose.
- Computed TomographyA CT scan uses x-ray technology to take detailed pictures of internal organs and structures of the body for the purpose of analysis. Our CT scanner is among the latest in high speed scanners with an unmatched technology platform, offering faster and clearer images. Exams that took 30 to 45 minutes to complete in the past now can be completed in less than 10 minutes.
- Cyst
- LesionsAn ultrasound is a noninvasive imaging technique that utilizes high-frequency sound waves to view internal organs and produce precise images of the human body. The human ear cannot hear the sound waves used in an ultrasound. TPCA’s ultrasound department has the latest equipment and experienced technologists to ensure the highest quality studies in all areas, including ultrasound units with 3D/4D capabilities for breast and thyroid lesions.
