General Info
Animal Aid & Spay/Neuter Center, located in Tallahassee, FL, is proud to provide exceptional animal health care services to the people and pets in the area. Our dedicated team works hard to educate the community and spread the word about spaying, neutering, and pet adoption. Spaying and neutering your pets will help to reduce the overpopulation of domestic animals. These safe, and relatively quick, procedures are just a small part of our mission to eliminate the euthanasia of potentially adoptable animals. While our clinic focuses on these surgeries, our additional services include: Blood work, IV fluids, Post-surgery medication, Adoptions, Behavior consultations, Vaccinations, Bathing. For over 30 years, we have been serving pets and the people that love them. Feel free to visit our website, located at the top of this profile, to donate to our cause or view a list of adoptable animals. Tallahassee Animal Aid Center displayed humanitarianism towards me and my cats. They treated my pets for a fee I could afford which allows me to keep them despite my unemployment. Thank you Animal Aid for saving my cats lives.

The worse thing about this place is the long wait. I cannot afford to take my animals to a regular vet and they work with me on the payments here. I feel they truly care about animals or they wouldn't work with me on a payment plan. I trust and appreciate the care they give. I have boarded my dogs with them and haven't had any problems. I feel my pets are in good hands.

I do not recommend this place. Sure they're inexpensive compared to a normal veterinarian office, but do you really want to put your pet through this?1.You don't really make an appointment, they tell you to go in from such and such time; they're packed with people; pick a number, wait another hour, finally you're called, drop off your pet, repeat when you pick pet up.2.It's one of the dirtiest clinics I've ever seen! I can't imagine how nasty the operating rooms are! 3.Certain services that should be included in the price of a spay/neuter are optional here and cost an additional amount. (i.e iv, catheter, etc) 4.They give your female pets tattoos to prove they're spayed, without your prior approval.5.Your pets, you love them dont you? You care about their health and well being enough to take them to a vet, so why not spend a little more for a real clinic? If you do go here, keep in mind that your pets will be very stressed and might come back with an illness.
This place saved 2 of my dogs lives and I will forever be indebted to them! They never questioned whether or not I could pay for the services, they rushed them into surgery and afterwards we talked money. The cost was absolutely amazing it was so low. And they were even willing to work out a payment plan for me, but due to the low price, I didn't need to use that helpful service. These people love animals! I won't use anyone else now! I have one cat and 4 dogs, all of them patients of Animal Aid!!! :-)
Although you may have to wait in line, you can NOT beat the price and care your pets will receive at Animal Aid!
This place is very busy but is a lot more reasonable than other vet clinics. You may have to wait a lot longer than other clinics but I've been taking my pets here for years. The doctors and techs are very nice and do whats best for your pet. The other review must be from somewhere else because I've boarded my pets at this clinic numerous times over the last 5 years and have never had a problem. I have also been in the back area and everything seemed clean and well-maintained. Remember this is a low-cost clinic so a lot more animals are spay/neuterd but it's definitely a safe and recommended place to take your pets.
It is cheaper, that is why I go out of my way to take our animals there. The people who work there obviously have a SINCERE DEEP CONCERN FOR ANIMALS...they're certainly not in it for the glamour. They are overworked and underpaid, but truly try to do the best they can with what they have. they are very very busy. No, it is not the same as going to a private vet, and you will have to take a number and wait your turn, but it is far more affordable than the alternatives. They were very considerate and helpful when we had to put our 16 year old dog to sleep: we adopted her through the foster program, and she had never been to any other clinic. Don't go there if you expect it to be like any private vet office - forget it. But, if you could otherwise not afford to spay/neuter, or vaccinate your pet, this is a wonderful option I recommend.
I boarded my dog w/ them 1 weekend, I picked her up and she had INFLAMED HOLES in her lips, a KNOT ON HER SNOUT, INFECTED AREAS on both elbows, and that night she pooped blood, only to find out she caught COCCIDIA from this place. It took HOURS for a vet to see my dog and she TRIED to say that the INJURIES sustained to my dog over the weekend were UNDERLYING CONDTIONS THAT CAME TO A HEAD OVER THE WEEKEND. I'm sorry, illnesses are underlying conditions NOT injuries.DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. I went into the back to SEE the kennels and they had cats lined up in cages in the HALL and in 1 room, they had 4 operating tables -all with an animal on them doing procedures. How sterile is that???? They even had a dog on a table in front of the substandard kennels they are boarding animals in. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE - DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE - DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE - DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE
If you have the time to wait for your turn this is good place. The vets are as good as any others I have met and all the employees are helpful and at least somewhat knowledgable.... and it costs less. I think my animals are in good hands there.
