Our dog maggie had parvo and was treated very poorly by another animal hospital. I some how lucked up and found DR. Barnhill's facility and couldn't have been more pleased. From the first time we called Dr. Barnhill to set up the appointment she went straight to work. She advised us on what to do for her that night to help her through until we could get her there the next morning. She took maggie in and treated her like she deserved to be treated (as all pet lovers know) like a member of the family. Just two days w/ Dr. Barnhill and our girl was back to us, jumping, barking, and playing like nothing was ever wrong with her. Even though Dr. Barnhill cured our baby, and I thought her job was done, she still called and checked to see how she was doing a couple of days after she came home. I would recommend her office to anyone who loves there pets. The staff was non-comparable to any in the country, the office was spick and span, and she is now a member of our family to.
Finding a vet who knows (and not scared) of horses is difficult, Dr. Barnhill is outstanding with horses, and just as caring when I have to bring in the dogs or cats. Office staff is pleasant and friendly. It is nice to have your voice recognized when you call in with a question and treated like an old friend. (I believe in preventative maintenance at home, so I do not have to visit the vet on a regular basis, and I still am treated this way!). The office is always clean and pleasant, plenty of room to park and room to bring get in (and out) with a horse trailer with no issues at all! When I moved to the area 5 years ago had a bad experience with another vet with my horse, and had to find a new vet, have been dealing with South Columbus Animal Hospital for almost 5 years now and would not change at all! Highly recommend them to anyone who wants to have someone who cares about you as a person and cares for you pet as the part of the family they are to you, no matter how big or small!
