I ran into a snag trying to find parts for an old Universal Rundle toilet. I called Vescera and the gentleman I spoke with was extremely helpful. He asked me for my phone number while he checked his inventory and promptly called me back. I would recommend them to anybody needing odd plumbing parts before shopping online.

One look at their store should warn you off: it's a decaying concrete block building with a sign giving their hours as "around 8am to exactly 4pm". I showed up at 8 and waited 22 minutes for someone to show up. When he did, and I gave him the part numbers for what I needed, he had no idea where to find it; in fact, he couldn't even put his hands on a manufacturer's catalog (Briggs). Much as I prefer to do business with local companies, I am giving up and buying the parts on line -- at least I will have confidence that they are correct. It's a shame -- Vescera's used to be the go-to place for plumbing parts.
