How do I put this other than I know good Mexican food as I've cooked it and eaten it throughout my 28 yrs from Mex, San Fran, and WA. and I've got to say it is as authentic as it gets! Dave the cook is a wonderful guy too. I wasn't sure what to get, so I asked the waitress to see if he would make something up to surprise me, and man was that the right choice, DElicious!!

Don't let the "tucked into the back of a neighborhood bar" thing fool you. Don't worry about the 1970's wood panelling decor. Don't fear the limited-options menu. Don't even think, "Well, Mexican food's not really my thing."This is flat-out one of the best places in town for seriously good eating at excellent prices. Service is fast, attentive, and extraordinary. The food... defies my ability to describe. Fantastic. Amazing. Stupendous. Wonderful in every way, every time.I'm not a huge Mexican food fan, but tried Beans 'cause it's right in my neighborhood. Boy, am I glad I did! I'd eat there three nights a week and not get tired of it. I've been back a great number of times now, and I think I've had everything on the menu (and a few of the specials!) My highest recommendation is for the beef enchedilla (yes, that's what it's called) with the verde sauce, with sides of rice and zucchini & corn.Try Beans just once - you'll return again and again! *****!!!!!
