A top notch chef is at work in this delightful new restaurant in the heart of Sycamore, IL. My family and I were visiting the area for a few days and found Takis Mediterranean Restaurant quite by accident. We went there on a whim and are so glad we did. We had lamb shanks, chicken Mediterranean, humus plate, dolmathes, & pork loin schnitzel. Everything we ate was delicious and beautifully plated. The dolmathes were the best I have ever eaten. The potatoes had a hint of lemon, and the vegetables picked up a faint flavor of the light & tasty wine sauce. White table cloths added to the ambiance along with jazz and classical background music, at just the right volume. I would return to this restaurant again. I would say it is a place for special occasions, a real treat for the palate. The restaurant has only been open for 3 months, and I think it will soon be a favorite of the locals.
