General Info
Tour the home where Mary Baker Eddy (the founder of Christian Science) experienced the healing through prayer that would bring great changes to her life, and to the lives of many others. She was brought here the morning after a fall on an icy sidewalk in nearby Lynn in February 1866. Although it looked as though the effects of the accident would prove fatal, she found herself suddenly healed while reading a New Testament account of one of Jesus' healings. The profound insight she glimpsed at that moment led to a fresh understanding of the Bible and to her discovery of Christian Science.Guided tours May 1-October 31, Thursday - Saturday 10 am-4 pm, Sunday 1-4 pm. November 1-April 30 by appointment. Tours are paired with the Mary Baker Eddy Historic House in Lynn, MA. Tours begin in Swampscott. $10.00 suggested donation for both tours. Members and children under 12 free.
