I had 3 dogs that we boarded for 2 days at the kennel. We try really hard to have family watch the dogs as that way they are not at high risk for picking up something and getting an infection. 2 of our 3 dogs got a bacterial infection and had bloody, mucus filled diarrhea plus some vomiting. One of them developed symptoms within 24 hours of us picking her up. The 2 that got sick were brought to the vet and that bill was pretty steep. I did call and let the owner know that my dogs had fallen ill with bacterial infections after being at the kennel. I did not expect any compensation as they make you sign a liability form when you check in. However, the owner basically ended up saying they could have gotten it anywhere. Which if it had been one dog of the three, I would agree. Though with 2 of 3 getting a bacterial infection, I would say it is almost certainly related to the kennel they stayed at. No one wants to hear excuses when bringing an issue up like this. Compensation would always be nice, however I would have settled for an apology without the excuses and indication that they didn't get sick there (2 out of 3 dogs makes that pretty). Just wanted to make this known for anyone who will be bringing there dog to this kennel. As for me, I would not do it again. I am just thankful the antibiotic treatment and day of IV fluids/medication (just for my small dog) has been effective.

i want to thank the staff at Silverwood for the great care my 2 dogs received while i was on a fishing trip in Canada. the care and concern exhibited by the staff put my mind at ease. its a clean ,modern facility and i would reccamend this place to anyone who is looking for an affordable first class boarder.thank you Silverwood very much...James K Gajewski Waukesha,WI
