Acquired in 1997, the plant covers an area of more than 250,000-square-feet, and has a capacity of 40,000 tons of steel joists, steel decks, Hambro Systems and 40,000 tons of Sun Building Systems. The company s main customers are steel fabricators, general contractors and real estate developers, and its products are used in schools, government buildings, warehouses, stores, offices and commercial buildings. Canam Steel s composite joist forming systems can be used on masonry, steel frame, metal stud, precast walls, as well as wood-frame constructions.
