Great food, great atmosphere, great music, friendly waitstaff. Me and my girlfriend have eaten there 4 or 5 times and every time was a pleasure. The owner is very friendly and has come out to engage in friendly chat on more than one occassion. Half of the diner is like a 60's, 70's and 80's rock and roll theme with each table displaying 45s of a different classic rock band. The other half is more of a 1950's theme. The food is excellent and i have a hard time not ordering everything on the menu. If you like rock and roll and you like good breakfast and friendly people then you will love Rock On. I hope they get enough business so i can continue to stuff my face there for years to come. PS: Theres no way these people would undercook someones food and refuse to redo it. Theyre good people there.

i just wanted to comment on the one saying the waitstaff was rude and the food was uncooked and the cook refused to re-cook the food. It all a bunch of bull. im personally in there more then twice a week. and have seen the cook re do a whole plate just because the lady wanted it cooked differently. and the waitstaff is more then friendly and helpful in getting anything you would need. i would recommend this diner to anyone! and its obvisous someone is just trying to get business at another place by bashing a diner with fake information.

Just ordered a burger, medium well. The cook got it, right on! Juicey, FAT burger. My lettace, tomatoe, onions are fresh. The wide cut fries are piping hot and perfect. This is a no-disappointment diner. Classic American fair as you expect it.
We own a condo in Emerson Mills and tried this diner for the first time last weekend, we decided to try it breakfast/lunch with my boyfriends Mom from out of town. Everything we ordered came out quickly, hot, and our waitress was very nice in getting us anything we needed. We went at a slow time ( seeing it was a Monday late morning) and enjoyed the atmosphere. Normally we drive to Derry for a good diner breakfast, since the last two breakfast places on Main St (Rennass, and Sunrise Grille) were disappointing to say the least. Pancakes, and hand cut Hash Brown were great, we all left happy with our breakfast. It's a great place to run in for a quick bite to eat close to home. It would be great to see them work with other local buisness in the area -- the soon to be Bread place on Main, and Jaques Pastry's. It would be nice to have fresh pastries on weekend on their menu as well. Overall we will go back when we want breakfast close to home.

Excellent Food, Terrific Service, Real good coffee, too!So glad that I went there.I will return w/friends and family.I was surprised that my Breakfast Bagel Sandwich was made with 2 eggs. The home fries were real home fries, not deep fried like so many places.I left with a full tummy and a big smile.

I would never rate 4 Stars for a diner, but this one is exceptional.First of all, the name is "ROCK ON DINER" not Hard Rock Diner. The breakfasts are all the way from Unique to Traditional, and the prices arevery reasonable. The home fries are dee-licious and a much better choicethan the "hash-browns" which seem like a fast-food item, and small.Coffee is terrific, and the cup is constantly refilled by the courteous staff. The Apple & Spice pancakes are a "MUST TRY"The Banana walnut Waffles are also "out of this world".I did have to ask to have the music volume lowered, it wasn't blaring but Iprefer a fairly "quiet time" at breakfast, and they were very accomodating.Overall, a very pleasant experience and I highly recommend it.
I came in for breakfast and had pancakes and coffee. I was greeted by the owner, who immediately engaged me in some friendly chatter. I ordered pancakes and coffee. The pancakes came out hot and fresh. They were your classic fluffy diner kind. They tasted good and hearty. The coffee was just right. The service staff are locals and very friendly, fast and very accommodating. The place looks clean and bright. This is no "greasy spoon." I got the feeling I was in a good hands. The place has a "hard rock" theme and you can see that a lot of effort was put into the decor. People who like rock-n-roll will love it here. And it seems an interesting place for family, especially teens who may feel a little at ease about a being seen out in public with their parents. Kids can get bunny shaped pancakes.
