  Julie Long joined the Bryan Law Firm in 2003 as the firm’s part-time receptionist. She transitioned into the firm’s transcriptionist, and in 2005, through on the job training and college courses, Julie became employed fulltime as the firm’s bookkeeper. Julie currently serves as the firm’s office manager and assists attorneys John Moorman and Thomas McElveen with criminal matters. Julie earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina, receiving the Academic Achievement Award for the Business division.

  Our firm has successfully defended clients charged with DUI, open container, drug possession, drug manufacturing, public disorderly conduct, larceny, attempted murder, and other various crimes.
• Wrongful Death
  Thomas McElveen completed mediator training through the South Carolina Bar’s Continuing Legal Education Division and is a certified Circuit and Probate Court mediator. Thomas has handled a wide variety of cases over the course of his career, trying many civil and criminal cases to verdict. Thomas’ main area of practice currently focuses on personal injury and wrongful death claims.

  There is no fee for the initial consultation for criminal cases or contingency cases, including automobile wrecks, motorcycle wrecks, bicycle wrecks, tractor trailer wrecks, slip and fall, workers compensation, and wrongful death. With cases handled on a contingency fee basis, you only pay attorney fees and costs if the outcome is successful and we obtain a settlement or jury verdict on your behalf. The attorney fees in contingency fee cases are computed before deducting the expenses related to your case. The fee to obtain representation for criminal cases will be discussed with you when you meet with the attorney.

  Mr. Goldman was admitted to the New York Bar in 1969 and the South Carolina Bar in 1970. He was associated with the Bryan Law Firm in 1969 and became a partner in 1972. His practice focused primarily on medical malpractice, personal injury, and civil litigation.
