General Info

Amanda McAllister is a doctoral prepared Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) who grew up in Boston. From an early age, she knew she wanted to work in healthcare, specifically with children. She received her Bachelor's and Masters in Nursing from Regis College in Weston, MA. After finishing the program, she decided to make a change and move to beautiful Charleston, SC. Once in Charleston, she enrolled at the Medical University of South Carolina and graduated with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice with a 4.0 GPA. Amanda has been a PNP in rural South Carolina for five years and has enjoyed serving the community. She decided to start a practice closer to a home where she hopes to serve the greater Summerville area. Her areas of interest include pediatric obesity, adolescent health, and promotion of pediatric wellness. Amanda is also interested in improving the quality of care provided to children of South Carolina and led many quality improvement projects at her previous practice.
