Post Oak Pavilion provides spaces for various activities, such as family reunions, receptions, parties and training sessions. The pavilion maintains an office in Sulphur, La. It can accommodate more than 500 people. Post Oak Pavilion maintains several playgrounds, boat launches and beach areas. In addition, the pavilion includes restrooms and sites for camping and trailing. It is governed by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, which has been able to build and maintain the parks system for several years through the utilization of user fees. The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury operates administration, finance, engineering, fire, housing, library, water works and drainage departments.
