Just heard through the grapevine that Walgreens, which bought Strauser Drug in Sullivan about 2 years ago, today advised 5 of their employees, one of which had 16 YEARS ON THE JOB, that they were given the choice of being relocated to another store out of town or they could quit...and they had until 6pm the same day to make a decision. How heartless. I will never again do business with Walgreens considering how they treat their loyal employees. They also told those employees NOT YET laid off that they should set the other employees' trauma aside and be cheerleaders for the store and bring in new business. Their cold-bloodedness is sadly symptomatic of large corporations whose first, last, and every motive is the profit margin.
