- Veterinary SurgeryI can’t say enough about how caring and helpful NGVS was when our dear Nikita went there for emergency surgery. In the end she didn’t make it, but the entire staff showed her love and affection for her entire week’s stay there, and afterward Dr. James called to offer his condolences and seemed genuinely moved. They did their best for our family, and we really appreciated it. – Tony Perry
- Small Animal SurgeryNow board-certified and recognized as a small animal surgery specialist in both North America and Europe, he remained at the Nashville practice where he met Dr. Keith Curcio. The two men decided to open their own practice in the northern suburbs of Atlanta because it was an area in which they both wanted to live and raise their families. NGVS opened its doors in 2009, and today is one of the most successful and respected practices of its kind.
- Spaying and NeuteringA: As a specialty practice, NGVS doesn’t provide primary care such as vaccinations, neutering, or preventive medicine/wellness checkups. Rather, we partner with your family veterinarian to provide veterinary specialist health care for your pet. If you don’t have a primary care veterinarian, here’s a list of local practitioners from which you can choose.

- Dental RadiologyOral surgery and veterinary head and neck surgeries are some of the more challenging problems a pet can have. Advanced diagnostics, including regular radiology, dental radiology, Computed Tomography (CT) scans, and laboratory evaluations, allow proper diagnosis of oral health, head and neck abnormalities, and related medical problems. While your family veterinarian is qualified to handle much of your pet’s care, sometimes additional expertise is needed. That’s why, just as your own primary care physician may refer you to a board-certified surgery specialist for certain conditions, your family veterinarian may consult with a specialist to help diagnose or treat a particularly complex medical problem.
