Incorporated in 1992 and located in Nyack, N.Y., Creative Response to Conflict assists educators, parents and those who work with young people learn skills of nonviolent conflict resolution through cooperation, communication, affirmation, problem solving, mediation, and bias awareness. The center conducts workshops for people of all ages in conflict resolution, mediation, problem solving and bias awareness, including school-based, staff development, in-classroom, introductory and weekend workshops. The center also offers trainings for workshop facilitators, parents, educators and community members who are interested in introducing conflict resolution in their homes, schools and communities. Creative Response to Conflict also offers community-based workshops for after school programs, camps, and religious and community organizations.
