The park is beautiful. The campground facilities are very nice, too. However, the rangers are a bit strange. We camped there a few times and they continually harassed us. After setting up a tent on the designated tent pad, they came to "inspect" it and made us move it about 2" over because it was touching a couple of blades of grass - this was done after we had staked everything down and moved our gear into the tent... At night, they tend to appear at your side out of nowhere - this was sort of creepy - imagine taking a walk through the campground after dark and suddenly someone is walking directly beside you - kind of freaks one out... One ranger in particular seems to be on some sort of a power trip - Andrew will harass you because he can - he is the one carrying the gun and handcuffs... When I called the supervisor admitted there are problems with this park's rangers - said he was working on changing things, but we will never camp there again - WI has so many beautiful parks!
