His interest in medicine and surgery led Dr. Blumenauer to Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, where he earned his medical doctorate.Dr. Blumenauer later completed his general surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in Houston, Texas, one of the busiest trauma centers in the United States. He trained under some of the most well-known surgeons in the country, honing his surgical skills.This extensive training led Dr. Blumenauer to complete a plastic surgery fellowship at the prestigious Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.Dr. Blumenauer understands the impact that plastic surgery can have on a patients self-esteem and quality of life. He takes the time to get to know each patient, whether they visit for breast augmentation or a complete mommy makeover.
