Founded in 1971, the Richie Mcfarland Children s Center is a nonprofit corporation. It provides a range of services to more than 250 families per year. The center offers developmental and support for children with special needs and assistance to their families. The Richie Mcfarland Children s Center provides speech, language, physical and occupational therapies, as well as family support and counseling services. It also offers various home-based early intervention services. In addition, the center provides educational programs for parents. Its Hanen Program teaches several fun activities and interaction guidelines to parents that enhance their child's communication skills.
